So here’s something fun for everyone to do, should be quick and easy, but try to make it pretty. First, go here: The title of the article is now the name of your band. Next, go here: Go to the bottom of the page. The last four to five words of the last quote are the title of your first album Lastly, go here: Select the 3rd image. It is the picture for your album cover. Manipulate the picture, resize it, add some other color, whatever. Do the same with the band name and album title, put them over top. However you wanna do it. Make it look cool.

It was a pretty straight forward process, since all of the direction were given directly on the assignment page. After choosing a random name off wikipedia, choosing a quote, and a picture off flickr, I put it all together using a program called picnik (offered via flickr). I added a simple museum style border and added the album title. I am very happy with how it turned out!

I tried to think of a proper story for this specific band / album, but i wasn’t able to come up with much. I just thought it was a very appropriate picture for the album title. It gives off some sort of a mysterious vibe, and its somewhat soothing to look at as well. Very “zen”.

The visual is very attractive but it looks more like a framed poster than an album cover. Aren’t album covers usually square?

In terms of story, you could have at least told us more about the quote and wiki entry from which you got the band name and album title respectively. Also a link back to the CC Photo you got from flickr with hat tip to the photographer would have been cool.
